Journal Entries

The journal entries are meant to be a little free form, but in general I will be looking for the following:

Does your entry engage with the upcoming week’s materials, use the essential questions in some way, and stay on topic? (5 points)

Does your entry effectively use multi-media?  Is it relevant to the post, well-incorporated, and varied in form from week to week? (5 points)

Is your entry grammatically and organizationally clear?  Have you broken things down into small paragraphs for reader usability?  Are you working to improve your written voice from week to week? (5 points)

Is your entry a thoughtful contribution to our class discussion?  Have you done more than just summarize?  Is it creative–either intellectually or in form?  Is it accessible to the reader?  Are you showing analytical maturity and curiosity?  And so on…(5 points)
